Martha Dees Equevilley, 84, died Friday, Sept. 5, 2025, in Louisville.
After graduating from Waddy High School in 1959, she dedicated her life to a career in banking. With her husband, Gilbert, serving in the military, they enjoyed traveling and seeing the world together.
Survivors include her brother, Jim Dees (Cecilia); nephews, James Dees, Danny Dees and Jeffery Edmondson; nieces, Sharon Rash and Leenetta Edmondson; and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Equevilley; parents, James and Charlotte Dees; and sisters, Mary Ruth Dees and Susie Edmondson.
Service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville. Visitation is 3-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home. Burial is in Pleasureville Cemetery in Pleasureville.
