Linda Gail Bowling, 78, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2026, at her residence.

Born March 23, 1948, in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Ford and Frances Heaton Adams. She retired from Traditional Bank as a teller.  In addition to spending time with her friends and family, she loved watching UK sports.  She cherished her grandson and loved making his favorites—corn pudding, pea salad and strawberry cheesecake.  She looked forward to baking gingerbread men with Evan every Christmas.  She was a great cook, baker, and candy maker, even though she would say otherwise.

Survivors include a son, Jamie Bowling (Michelle) of Richmond; brother, Larry Adams of Maryville, Tenn; and grandchild, Evan James Bowling.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Adam James Bowling; brothers, Bobby Joe Adams and Tim Adams; and sister, Charlotte Jean Amburgey.

Service was conducted Monday, Sept. 28 at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Hammer McGuire officiating.  Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Spears Stilz, Jacob Stilz, Jamie Bowling, Evan Bowling, Phillip Maddox and Larry Donithan.
