Dylan Watkins has organized a GoFundMe donation drive for his aunt.
Felicia G. Joseph, 36, of Lexington, was pronounced deceased at the scene Tuesday at 9:21 p.m. by Montgomery County Coroner Jimmmy Adams.
Montgomery County Sheriff David Charles is calling the incident here Tuesday that resulted in the fatality a crime. The incident began in the Pilot parking lot and continued on the roadway to the 113 on-ramp, according to to the sheriff.
Joseph was struck by a tractor trailer that Charles said fled the scene.
"Our family is grieving this loss deeply, and we are hurting in multiple ways as we try to process life without her," Dylan writes on GoFundMe.
"Her children are now facing life without their mother. Her family is losing a daughter, a mother, a sister and a friend. That loss is something no family is ever ready for and it has left a painful space in all of our lives as we miss a beloved family member."
Funds from the fundraiser will cover a memorial service and funeral home fees. "Any support will help ease some of the financial burden on our family during this time and allow us to focus on honoring her memory."

Charita Watkins shared on social media that a celebration of life/memorial will be held for her sister Sunday, Oct. 4, Felicia's birthday. It will be held at a family farm in Carlisle. Everyone who knew and loved Felicia is welcome to attend. The celebration of life is set for 1 p.m.
