The Kentucky State Police are investigating an alleged attempt escape Monday at the Montgomery County Regional Jail, according to a jail official.
Two inmates were reportedly injured in the reported escape attempt, Chief Deputy Jailer Beth Willoughby told the Advocate.
The inmates reportedly suffered minor injuries in the attempt, Willoughby said.
Charges had not been filed as of Wednesday morning, she said.
Details surrounding the reported escape attempt were not immediately released as the investigation continues, Willoughby said.
More details will be released when that investigation is complete, she said.
