It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Danna Lou Hovermale, 69, who left this world peacefully, Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Born in Mt. Sterling, she was the daughter of the late John and Louise Jackson Hovermale. She was a beloved seamstress known for her exquisite craftsmanship, particularly in creating beautiful wedding gowns that adorned countless brides on their special days. Her mastery of the sewing machine and her eye for detail were just a few of the many talents that defined her life. In addition to her artistic pursuits, she had a warm and spirited personality that drew people in. She loved to celebrate life and enjoyed gatherings with friends and family, always bringing laughter and joy wherever she went. An avid fan of the University of Kentucky basketball team, she stood proudly among fellow enthusiasts, cheering for her Wildcats with unwavering loyalty and passion. Though her physical presence may be gone, she will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her, a reminder of the warmth, creativity, and unabashed joy she brought into the world.
Survivors include her cherished brother, Gerald Hovermale, who will carry forward the memories of their time together, as well as the laughter and love that defined their sibling bond.
