Golf tourney honors Jason McVey, benefits Humane Society

Judy McVey, center in photo below, is pictured with Candace Minnich, left, and her “other son,” Brian Minnich, at the Jason McVey Memorial Golf Tournament Saturday at Irish Hills. Jason was killed in a tragic accident at Laurel Lake in 2023. The Minnichs helped organize the tournament in McVey’s memory. McVey and the Minnichs were close friends.

Annual MCHS Prom held
STATE RUNNERS-UP—The Montgomery County E-Sports Team, which competes in the Rocket League, finished as the state runner-up this past weekend in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association’s State Championships held in Lexington. The team is coached by David Haney, far left, and the team members, shown from left, are Conner Purvis, Marc Small, Will Compton and Will Korrossy. The Indians were the state champions in 2024 and they have now captured two state titles along with this runner-up finish in the brief history of E-Sports competition. (Photo by Tonia Witt)
