“Here’s what’s true....” William French “Bill“ Jackson, 77, died Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, after an unexpected illness.

Born April 27, 1948, in Lexington, he was the son of Claude Jackson and Margaret Brammer.  He was always the salesman - starting an antique business in 1966 that evolved into one of the preeminent antiquities authentication companies in the United States, with his stepson, Alex.  He brushed shoulders with many key moments and figures in history, worked for a vice president, knew many celebrities personally growing up, while going to John Marshall High School in Los Angeles. His kind heart will be remembered by all that knew that side of him, and he will be missed.

Survivors include two step-children, Alexander C. Przygoda (Lynn) of Lexington and Gregory Colin Przygoda (Savannah) of Orcas Island, Wash.; and five grandchildren, Aryana Przygoda, Lucas White, River Przygoda, Tate White and Jack Przygoda.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Donna Joyce Gulley Jackson; father, Claude Jackson; and mother, Margaret Brammer Thomas. 

Service was conducted Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Baber officiating.Burial was in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Alex Przygoda, Norman Patto Jr., Lucas White, Jack Przygoda, Brock Baber and Jared Baber.
