Survivors include his wife, Janet Trimble Spencer; children, Charlotte Agee (Richard Huggins), Bill Hasty, Lisa Zimmerman (the late Steve), Sherrie Duff (Daniel), Denetta Reidel (Jeff), Jeff Hasty (Shonna) and Scotty Hasty; grandchildren, Krista Agee, Lucinda O’Boyle, Nicole Moore (James), Amy Hamblin (Doug), Kirk Van Guelpen (Stephanie), Michael Murray (Abigail), Robert Murray, Justin Hasty, Shane Hasty (Marissa), Kevin Hasty (Kristen), Corrina Centers (Brent) and Danny Hasty (Sierra); 30 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Althea Black and Barbara Mathis (Gary); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Retha Wyatt Hasty with whom he raised their eight children in Ohio and later retired to Jeffersonville; daughter, Linda Abney; sisters, Bertie Brown, Opal Clemons and Jean Lyons; and twin brother, James Hershel Hasty.

Service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 2, at Camargo Church of God with Pastors Gary Mathis and Jamey Johnson officiating.  Visitation will be 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday.  Burial will be in Machpelah Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Van Guelpen, Michael Murray, Robert Murray, Danny Hasty, Shane Hasty, Justin Hasty and Kevin Hasty

As we gather to celebrate his life, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and the light he radiated to those around him—a true testament to a life well-lived.
