From the MSPD:
Feb. 22, around 1350HRS, Officer. Thomas Wilson conducted a traffic stop for no seatbelt. During the course of the stop, officers contacted Montgomery County Sheriff's Office for use of their on-duty K9.
Sgt. Jared Garland arrived with his partner and conducted a search. Sgt. Garland's K9 reportedly gave positive indicators on the vehicle and the individuals in the car. Based on this, a search was conducted of the individuals.
Allegedly located by Officer Wilson during the search were 116 grams (4 oz) of suspected meth on the listed individual. "This amount was obviously meant to be trafficked in our community," a release claims. The following individual was charged with the following:
Dillon J. Greene (Mt. Sterling)
29 YOA
-One Headlight
-Failure to wear seatbelts
-Trafficking in Cont. Substance 1st, 2nd or >-(> or =2GMS meth)
-Drug Paraphernalia Buy/Posses
"This is just another example of our commitment to keep illegal narcotics off our streets! We appreciate the assistance from Sgt. Garland and the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office - Kentucky," release said.
