Rumpke Waste & Recycling is hosting a recycling information session 10 a.m.-noon, Wednesday, March 18, at the Montgomery County Senior Center.
The event will feature a recycling presentation at 11 a.m. where Rumpke will cover what is and isn’t accepted in its recycling program and what happens to the material once it leaves the curb.
Rumpke representatives will be available the remainder of the time to answer recycling questions one-on-one. Additionally, Rumpke representatives will be available for age verification to ensure residents 60 years and older receive the discounted rate, as part of the County’s contract.
In 2025, Montgomery County residents, including Mt. Sterling, recycled 538.33 tons of material,” said Kevin Hall, Rumpke communications coordinator. “That is fantastic, but we could see that number grow even more. There are 3,401 active recycling accounts in Montgomery County, representing about 49% off active accounts in Mt. Serling and 34% in the county.”
Registration is not required to attend the event.
