Onley Christopher Marcum, 59, of Stanton, died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2026, in Lexington.

Born Nov. 23, 1966, in Irvine, he was the son of the late Onley Earl and Alweena Ratliff Marcum.  He came from a large family and knew the meaning of hard work.  He worked at Martina Brothers in Lexington, with granite and marble for 28 years. He enjoyed fishing and outdoor activities. He was an avid UK sports fan and golf player.

Survivors include his two daughters, Alexis Horn and Tiffany Martin, both of Mt. Sterling; bonus daughter, Bridgett Horn of Bowling Green; 10  grandchildren, Aubrey, Brantley, Seth, Cameron, Jordan, Haily, Kayline, Alyssa, Cayden and Matthias;  great-grandchild, Aurora; companion of 30 years, Lisa Rison of Powell County; two brothers, Ed Marcum of Irvine and Johnny Marcum of Versailles; four sisters, Phyllis Rigsby of Versailles, Patricia Guth of Winchester, Helen Perkins of Winchester, Donna Clasen of Florida; several nieces and nephews; four step-children, Jamie Borders, Roy Rison, Josh Rison and Jacob Borders; eight step-grandchildren, Emma, Peyton, Allison, Jamison, Alissa, Miken, Tucker and Gunner.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, David Marcum, Roger Marcum and Stevie Marcum; and five sisters, Lisa Bittany, Tonya Marcum, Tina Marcum, Loretta Curtis and Rachael Marcum.

Service was conducted Saturday, Oct. 3, at Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals with Stephen Donithan officiating.
