DuBois Community Center invited the public to join it for a celebration held June 19 at the Olive Hill/Lincoln View Cemetery on East Locust Street.
There was a tribute to colored Civil War Union soliders by decorating their grave stones with Juneteenth flags. The headstones are distinguished with the look of a description of a badge shield.
Remarks were given Jay Scott.
The graves were cleaned by DuBois volunteers and leaders and the MCHS ROTC about five years ago.
