Kathleen Brewer Boykin, 67, of Carlisle, left this world peacefully to be with God, Monday, Oct. 27, 2025.
Born Aug. 12, 1958, in Mt. Sterling, to the late Alberta Johnson and Robert Boyd Brewer, she filled the world with light from the very beginning. She had a strong faith in God and lived life marked by a generous heart and a vibrant sense of humor, which touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Beyond her family, she pursued her passions with enthusiasm. She could often be found outside feeding her hummingbirds, traveling, quilting, baking and kayaking. But it was her unwavering passion for reading that will be remembered the most.
Above all else, she was a loving spouse. She met the love of her life, Timothy Boykin, and together they built a beautiful life and a family filled with laughter and warmth. She was a dedicated mother to her children, Lincoln (Jennifer) Boykin and Hannah Boykin. Their home was a haven of unconditional love and the memories created within its walls will forever be treasured. Other survivors include brothers, Robert “Hammer” Brewer of Moorefield and Larry Boyd Brewer of Sharpsburg; sisters, Carolyn Sexton (Lee) of Sharpsburg and Barbara Hatton (Jim) of Carlisle; sister-in-law, Julie Brewer; special friend, Carla Hardin; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Wayne Brewer; sister, Mary Ruth Brewer; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Brewer.
Service was conducted Monday, Nov. 3, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Louis Eddie Vittitoe officiating. Burial was in Longview Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lincoln Boykin, Cole Bailey, Rylan Bailey, Mark Hatton, Greg Hatton and Todd Waits.
Honorary pallbearers were Lee Sexton, Larry Brewer and James Hatton.
