It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of “Jo” Etta Faye Shultz Davis, 95, who left this world Monday, April 20, 2026.
Born April 8, 1931, in Owingsville, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary Blevins Shultz. She lived a life filled with love, laughter and compassion. A longtime resident of Mt. Sterling, she was a beloved member of the Rolling Hills Church of Christ. She was a dedicated hairdresser and proudly self-employed in the cosmetology industry. Known for her talent and warm spirit, she never met a stranger and had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome. Her home was always open to friends and family, where she enjoyed entertaining and hosting gatherings filled with joy and laughter. An ardent UK basketball fan, she brought enthusiasm to every game. She enjoyed family camping trips and had a passion for floral arranging that brightened the lives of those around her. Her culinary skills were unmatched, as she was an excellent cook who delighted in creating meals for those she loved.
Survivors include her children, Bobby Paul “B.P.” Davis (Connie) and Suzanne Davis Hite (Dan); grandsons, Eric Davis (Kelly) and Evan Davis (Rachel); great-grandchildren, Lucy Davis, Stella Davis and Maggie Miracle; sister, Carolyn Cline; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband and best friend, Bobby Davis; and siblings, Betty Williams and Jim “Buster” Shultz.
Her humble attitude and genuine compassion touched countless lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Service was conducted Friday, April 24, at Rolling Hills Church of Christ with Bobby Paul “B.P” Davis, Bro. Dan Murphy and Bro. Jerry Carmichael officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were elders and deacons of Rolling Hills Church of Christ
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations in Jo’s memory to the Rolling Hills Church of Christ, 125 Rolling Hills Dr., Mt. Sterling, Ky., 40353.
In celebration of her life, we invite all who knew and loved Jo to join us in honoring her memory, reflecting on the joy and light she brought to our lives.
