A city wide boil water advisory in Jeffersonville has been lifted.
Mayor Steve Barnes said there was a break at a 12-inch main water line coming in to the city from Cave Run Water. Cave Run Water supplies the Jeffersonville Water System.
The leak was detected around 5 a.m. Saturday morning (Jan. 17) at the U.S. 460 and Rocky Branch Road area. It has since been repaired, Barnes said.
A city wide boil water advisory remained in effect until today (Monday) around 10 a.m.
The city asks that all residents ensure the city has updated phone information on file. Calls are sent out to residents with notifications such as boil water advisories. Information is also shared on the Jeffersonville Water System social media page.
If you need to reach the water office you can contact 859-498-5808.
