Grover C. Jones, 86, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, May 10, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital-Mount Sterling.
Born Jan. 8, 1940, he was the son of the late Howard and Daisey Adams Jones. He attended COLG Church in Mt. Sterling, and owned PSC: Grover Jones; Engineers and Surveyors. He loved his work, and keeping cars clean, and enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Rosanna Jones; daughters, Lisa Estes (Larry) of Gallatin, Tenn., Lana Newkirk (Chuck) of Mt. Sterling and Selina Davis; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Buck Jones; and sister, Maxine Baggett.
Service was conducted Wednesday, May 13, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Patrick Lager officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Terry Terrell, David Shanks, John Mosley, Mike Staton and Earl Johnson Jr.
Honorary pallbearers were Chuck Toy, Joe White and Tom Lager.
