Dorothy “Jane” Allen Denzinger, 88, passed away peacefully, Friday, March 20, 2026, in Tulsa, Okla., with her husband, Rob by her side.
Born Sept. 3, 1937, in Nashville, Tenn., she was the daughter of Frank and Jane Matthai Allen. She graduated high school in Mt. Sterling, then began college as a music major at Transylvania University, followed by the University of Kentucky, where she met the love of her life, Rob. The couple married in 1957 and began a life in New Orleans, raising four daughters in Slidell, La., where she started a stained glass business, constructing windows for local builders. They moved to Tulsa, Okla., in 1981. Finding themselves as empty nesters, she returned to college, earning a BA in commercial art from Tulsa University, graduating cum laude. She worked at Saint Francis Hospital as a graphic designer before moving to Denver, Colo., Midland, Texas, Colorado Springs, Colo. ,and Sun Lakes, Ariz. She worked during this time at America West Airlines as a flight attendant, allowing the couple to travel the world. Upon retirement, the couple lived in Denton, Texas, where she started Trademarx, a business of creating stationery, invitations and personalized paper goods. They moved to Montereau in Tulsa in 2014, where she continued her business. Her southern hospitality knew no bounds. She and Rob hosted many parties, the highlight of which was their annual Kentucky Derby party. She was loved by so many friends wherever she went, most recently while residing at Montereau.
Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Rob Denzinger; daughters, Ellen (Mike) Walker, Teresa Still, Karla (Roland) St. John and Richie Denzinger; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and brother, Woody (Dee) Allen of Mt. Sterling.
Funeral mass was conducted Wednesday, April 15 at Church of the Resurrection. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jane’s name to the Montereau Benevolent Fund.
