TRAFFIC AND AFTER-HOURS WORK ADVISORY – After-hours resurfacing and street repair work is scheduled to take place over the coming week along US 60 (Main Street) and US 460 (North Maysville Street) in Mount Sterling. Although work is scheduled to primarily take place at night, weather and temperature may impact scheduled operations and require some daytime activities. Expect minor traffic delays and noise along this route while work takes place. Work is scheduled to begin this evening (4/1/2026 @ 6PM) starting on East Main Street.
The project area is along US 60 (Main Street) from a point near Willow Street to the Bypass/Winchester Road (approximately one mile total). The project area on US 460 (North Maysville Street) is from Main Street to the High Street intersection. Traffic control will be enforced, and work will take place in sections. Overnight parking along this route will be impacted, and for those who normally park on Main Street or North Maysville Street overnight, alternative parking is required while this project takes place. This is the final phase of our current downtown streetscape and sidewalk project.
We apologize for the inconvenience this project may cause to our businesses and the residents who live along these streets. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact City Hall at (859) 498-8725.
