Bruce Edward Patrick of Spartanburg, S.C., died Monday, March 30, 2026, at his home, after a nine-year, valiant struggle with cancer.
Born in Paris, Ky., he was the son of Joyce Patrick Thaxton of Spartanburg, S.C. and the late Paul Edward Patrick of Mt. Sterling, and the grandson of the late Bruce and Elizabeth Patrick of Mt. Sterling. He was a graduate of Spartanburg Methodist College and the University of South Carolina. He recently retired from his position as Human Services Specialist with Spartanburg Area Mental Health Center.
In addition to his mother survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Peter Conroy of Summerville, S.C.; nephews, Patrick Conroy of Charlotte, N.C. and Porter Conroy of Washington, D.C.; and niece, Haley Ann Conroy of Lansing, Mich.
Funeral services and burial were held April 9 in Spartanburg, S.C.
