Braylen Blevins places second, earns scholarship at Ky. Youth Bowling Tour Youth Championship

Posted

McNabb Middle School student Braylen Blevins earned second-place honors and SMART scholarship awards at the Kentucky Youth Bowling Tour (KYBT) Youth Championships held this past weekend, June 6–7 in Louisville. Competing against many of Kentucky’s top youth bowlers, Braylen delivered an outstanding performance to finish as the state runner-up in the U14 Division and is now preparing for the Junior Gold Championships in Minneapolis Minnesota, on July 11-18.

Junior Gold is the pinnacle event of competitive youth bowling and is not an open-entry tournament. Participation is reserved for bowlers who have earned a qualifying spot through a United States Bowling Congress (USBC) certified event. Junior Gold utilizes ten different bowling centers across the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, and features some of the most challenging lane conditions in youth bowling. There will be thousands of the nation’s best youth bowlers in attendance competing for national titles, college scholarships and SMART scholarship awards.
