Tina Gail Hopkins, 48

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tina Gail Hopkins, 48, who departed this life Friday, July 11, 2025, at UK Medical Center. 

She was born Jan. 1, 1977, in Mt. Sterling.  She dedicated her life to helping others as a devoted caregiver.  She was deeply committed to her family, with her greatest joys stemming from being a wife to her beloved husband, Jamie Hopkins, and a mother to her cherished sons, Braxton and Trevor.  Her love for her family extended to her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, whom she showered with affection.  Her greatest dream was to one day embrace the role of grandmother, a testament to her nurturing heart.  A faithful follower of the Christian faith, she found comfort and inspiration in her Bible reading.  She enjoyed peaceful moments spent watching “Dr. Phil,” which brought her joy and laughter.  Her kindness knew no bounds, she was a selfless giver, always ready to help those in need.  She treated her friends as if they were family, embodying a warmth and respect that endeared her to everyone she encountered.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Jamie Hopkins; sons, Braxton Hopkins (Lucie Allen) and Trevor Hopkins (Kassidy Blanton); sister, Tara Simpson (Troy); sister-in-law, Cathy Elam (Mike Smith); and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Judy Conkright; and mother-in-law, Betty Miller.

Service will be conducted at noon Friday, July 18, at the Means Miracle Community Church with Pastor Tommy Evans officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m.-noon Friday.  Burial will be in Fortune Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Hopkins, Braxton Hopkins, Trevor Hopkins, Matt Elam, Josh Elam and Nick Elam.

Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Martin, Chandler Quarles, Austin Stevensons and D.J. Stephens.
