Joyce Dawn Chandler Craycraft, 89

Joyce Dawn Chandler Craycraft, 89, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at her residence.
Born June 22, 1936, in Mt. Sterling, she was the daughter of the late Rev. James Arthur and Martha Orme Chandler. She attended Hope First Church of God.
Survivors include sons, Byron Dudley Craycraft (Diane) of Mt. Sterling and Randall Craycraft (Cheri) of Mt. Sterling; daughters, Shirley Kemplin (Ray) of Mt. Sterling and Susan Thompson (Gary) of Owingsville; a brother, Darvin Chandler of Winchester; a sister, Delores Allen of Jeffersonville; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Dudley Craycraft; brothers, Bernard Chandler, Clayton Chandler, Ronald Chandler, Albert Chandler and Cramer Chandler; sisters, Linda Chandler and Kay Patterson; and son-in-law, Ray Kemplin.
Service was conducted Tuesday, July 8, at Taul Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glennis Sizemore and Aaron Conn officiating. Burial was in Machpelah Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dudley Craycraft, Caleb Gay, Rusty Craycraft, Josh Gentry, Dwain Ginter, Bill Carroll, Casey Howard, Gary Wayne Thompson, Braxton Henderson and Jeremy Kemplin.
Honorary pallbearers were Women of Hope First Church of God, Evelyn Schultz, Dixie Skinner, Debbie Johnson and Maxine Vice.
