Emma Margaretta Spencer Barnes, 79

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Emma Margaretta Spencer Barnes, 79 (aka 27), of Jeffersonville, Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, surrounded by her loved ones.
She was a retired employee of A. O. Smith.  She was a member of the Church of God. Her greatest love in life was spending time with her family.  Her children and grandchildren brought her so much joy.  She will be best remembered by her grandchildren for the game of 52 card pickup and for always being kind and loving.
Survivors include her loving husband of 59 years, Trigger Barnes; two daughters, Imogene Dixon (Billy) of Jeffersonville and Brenda Ball (Clifford) of Sharpsburg; a son, Garlin Barnes of Sharpsburg; special daughter-in-law, Monica Robertson; 10 grandchildren, Christopher Maloney (Jessica), Shawn Dixon (Whitney), KayLoni Dixon (Mike King), Emily Sorrell (Andrew), Dustin Barnes (Nikki), Brittony Gosz (Hillary), Chelsea Barnes (Toby Collins), Marvin Ball (Grace), Michael Ball and Emmaline Ball (Andrew Wages); two special grandchildren, Ryleigh and Bradley Salmons; 16 great-grandchildren, Karmen, Chase, Grayson, Liam, Averie, Kansas, Avery, Nova Lee, Trigger, Wilder, Marcie, Willow, Charlie,Wynstin, Ridge and Marvin. 
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lonnie Spencer; and four sisters, Reola Shuler, Arvetta Shuler, Mildred Chaney and Minnie Knox.
Service was conducted Monday, May 19, at the Grayson Funeral Home in Clay City with Bro. Scott Barnes and Bro. David Campbell officiating. Burial was in the Trigger Barnes Family Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
Grayson Funeral Home was in charge of services.
