Anna Joyce Williams Carty, 83

Anna Joyce Williams Carty, 83, of Means, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at the U.K. St. Claire Hospital in Morehead. 

Born Jan. 6, 1942, in Frenchburg, she was the daughter of the late Chester Williams and Josephine Ballard Williams.  She dedicated her life to caring for the needs of her family, farm and animals.  She was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include her son, Chester (Billie) Carty of Means; daughter, Kasey Smith (Jason) of Mt. Sterling;  six grandchildren, Trevor Augustus Conner, Kaitlyn Smith, Jordyn Smith, Devyn Collins, Dylan Donathan and Haley Donathan;  three great-grandchildren, Bryson Wayne Hall, Michael Garred Collins and Brayleigh Grace Hall.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Augustus Carty.

Service was conducted Saturday, April 26, at the Herald and Stewart Home for Funerals Chapel with Tommy Evans officiating.  Burial was in Williams Cemetery.

Family served as pallbearers.
